Our department recognizes excellence in residency and honors the legacy of distinguished professionals through a range of awards and scholarships. The James T. Dunne Award - Resident of the Year is presented annually to a PGY5 resident selected by faculty vote, celebrating exemplary dedication and performance. In memory of Dr. Francis L. O'Dea, the Dr. Francis L. O'Dea Scholarship is awarded each year to a third-year medical student at Memorial University of Newfoundland with a strong interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology, recognizing commitment to the field and supporting future contributions to medical education and practice.
