Many members of the Discipline of Medicine have productive research programs and some have strong international reputations as experts in their field.  These programs range from basic biomedical initiatives in areas such as endocrinology and metabolism, to population-health programs in genetics, health services delivery, clinical trials and patient-centered research.  Our Faculty members mentor graduate students, residents and undergraduate medical students.  Our residency training programs place strong emphasis on teaching research skills and completing projects. Many residents choose to do additional training, such as a M.Sc. in Clinical Epidemiology, concurrently with their clinical program.
