Message from the Program Director
Recently there has been a trend towards ever changing and increasing demands being placed on Anesthesia Residents both clinically and academically. Here at Memorial we try to focus on the resident first. We take advantage of our small size to breed community and thus familiarity. Familiarity begets trust translating into a superb clinical and academic experience. Our size also grants us the ability to flexibly adapt to resident needs, an important tool for success in the new Competence By Design approach to residency education.
Residents who join our program benefit from our vigorous simulation curriculum, dedicated wellness strategy, engaged faculty and staff, low learner-educator ratios and first-class facilities. We provide our residents with all the tools they need to succeed in their clinical work, certification, research, and future careers.
I believe in transparency and an “open door” policy for all residents. Regular communication is a key not only to success but high levels of resident wellness and satisfaction. If you’re considering a future with us, I would encourage you to speak with any one of our current or past residents to discover for yourself what makes Memorial’s Anesthesia Program shine.
