Class of 2024 White Coat Ceremony
The Dean of Medicine and the Office of Learner Well- Being and Success invite you to the 20th Annual White Coat Ceremony. Join the President of Memorial, Vianne Timmons, and Dean of Medicine, Dr. Margaret Steele, along with faculty and staff, as they welcome our new medical learners into their journey toward becoming a medical doctor! You won't want to miss this important event.

Email the Office of Learner Well-Being and Success at studentaffairs@med.mun.ca, to make sure you are added to the distribution list for the event link and access details.
The event link and more information will be sent out via email in January 2021. 

Due to the evolving state of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador, this year's celebration will be held in a virtual format, via WebEx. You will require an internet connection to view this. The event will be live, but will be recorded for viewing after the date. The video recording will be posted on the Office of LWS Events Page.

Celebration of Academic Achievement for the Class of 2020 
A virtual celebration and recognition of our learners who are receiving their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
 
This was definitely not the way we planned on celebrating the terrific achievements of the Class of 2020. We had planned celebrations with family, friends and of course fellow classmates. The entire Faculty of Medicine extends to you our sincerest congratulations during this unexpected and unusual time. It has been a pleasure working with each one of you to achieve your goals. We wish you continued success as your move on to the next stage of your medical training and your future medical careers.

Class of 2024 Virtual Orientation - August 24 - 28, 2020

Although it was quite a different Orientation week than other year's, the Fall 2020 incoming class participated in a one-of-a-kind, rewarding Orientation Week to kick off their medical education here at Memorial. It was an exciting week of activities, live sessions, lectures, content and virtual engagements. The entire faculty, staff and fellow learners from the Faculty of Medicine were on hand with our new learners to assist in any way needed and to share in the excitement.

Monte Carlo 2020: The Roaring 20's Online Charity Gala

In it's 44th year, Monte Carlo 2020 took on a whole new virtual format - where guests enjoyed live entertainment, comedy and a silent auction from the comfort of their own home! Congratulations to our medical learners on another incredibly successful event.
