The United Nations has designated October 20th, 2010 as the first World Statistics Day.

As part of the celebration, the International Statistical Literacy Project (60 countries) has launched a poster competition for students in grades 8-12. See

The poster competition has as theme "the environment''.

There are two age categories for poster submissions: students born between 1995 and 1997 (inclusive) and students born between 1992 and 1994.

First deadline: Register by November 30th, 2010.
