Explore Bursary

The Council of Ministers of Education, Canada launched the Financial Aid Initiative aimed at increasing accessibility to the Explore Program in Summer 2025 for low-income Canadians.

Successful applicants will receive funding through the Financial Aid Initiative in order to allow participants to fully engage in the Explore program without any financial concerns. The Bursary will cover the successful applicant’s registration fees, their transportation to and from their institution of choice, optional cultural activities, as well as additional spending money to use throughout the course of the program.

In order to apply, please submit the following via email to languages@mun.ca and mmayr@mun.ca or in person to SN4026 (Subject line “Explore Bursary”) by 4 p.m. January 29th, 2025.

• A fully completed and signed Application Form (see below)
• A statement of motivation (300-400 words in English or French) outlining your motivation to apply. (Possible issues to raise include: the timeline to fulfill  your milieu requirement; your motivation to attend the Explore program of your choice; talk about why you want to improve your French skills; explain how Explore will enhance your personal and/or professional skills; and so on).
