Assistant Professor, School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies

Carolina Tytelman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies at the Labrador Campus.

An anthropologist, she is interested in the interactions between people and their environment, including their construction and perception of place and relationships with other-than-human beings, and how these issues are expressed and negotiated by different groups in the current context of Canada. Since her doctoral research, which focused on a forest co-management process between the Innu Nation and the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador, she has been working collaboratively with the Labrador Innu Nation on various research projects.

Carolina completed her undergraduate studies at the University Of Buenos Aires (UBA) and her PhD at Memorial University. She was previously a post-doctoral fellow in the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies at the Labrador Campus.
