Administrative Staff Specialist I

Sherry Bennett has called Happy Valley-Goose Bay home since she moved here with her family from Central Newfoundland at the tender age of 9. Her administrative career has spanned over 40 years and has been entirely based in Labrador, including positions at: Labrador Specialty Services Inc., Serco, CBDC, NunatuKavut, Astaldi (with the Muskrat Falls Project), and SEM-Hatch (with the Voisey’s Bay Underground Expansion Project).

Sherry prides herself on her organizational skills, attention to detail, helping others, and her hard work ethic. Any job worth doing, is worth doing well! She is very excited to join the administration team and contribute to the day-to-day operations at the Labrador Campus. She is very proud to be a part of a growing learning institution in, and for, Labrador.

Although she wasn’t born here, Sherry's passion for the Big Land and its peoples is huge! She couldn’t imagine living or working anywhere else. She loves spending time with her family (especially her six beautiful grandchildren), gardening, crafting with sealskin, snowmobiling, and spending time at her cabin with her spouse at Switchback Lake. Winters here are the best; Labrador and her peoples are second to none!
