Ola Andersen
PhD Student, Arctic & Subarctic Futures, School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies
I have a Bachelor of Education, and Master's of Education in Curriculum, Learning, and Teaching. I will be continuing my PhD studies with the Arctic & Subarctic Futures Program.
I am a retired teacher and currently work part-time with the Torngat Secretariat. In this role, I am collaborating with others to create stewardship learning activities on the caribou, polar bear, salmon and char, and snow crab species in Nunatsiavut.
I am also an Inuk crafter who makes slippers, sealskin mittens, and other Inuit-inspired crafts. My entire life has been dedicated to creating spaces for children to experience the outdoors and engaging learning activities.
