Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP)
The ETP is a program for graduate students interested in starting a business. It has been offered by the School of Graduate Studies since 2011. The ETP is delivered through interactive presentations and workshops by entrepreneurs, staff and faculty. The program covers core entrepreneurship themes and skills such as problem-solving and design learning, the lean start-up methodology, sales, marketing and financial planning. The ETP also connects graduate students to resources such as local entrepreneurs, mentors and funding sources.
Evolution is a pre-incubator program created by Genesis in 2015. In this eight-week program, entrepreneurs learn to engage with potential customers while receiving mentorship from Genesis’ advisors. The program helps entrepreneurs identify their markets, validate their idea and find Problem Solution Fit. Evolution culminates with the program’s pitch event, Pitch & Pick. This program is open to the community.
