Dale Wells is a quilter and rug hooker who has lived in St. Anthony for most of her life. She first learned to work with textiles when she was young, but then took up her skills again in later life. Since she likes a challenge, Dale always tries to learn new skills and make use of various patterns and styles. She creates her own patterns to work from, but is also inspired by classic Grenfell designs. Here, Dale discusses the patterns and materials used in her rug-hooking, kniting, crocheting, and quilting projects.
