Odette and Pius Burke are a very unique quilting duo. They are a married couple who collaborate on hand drawn Newfoundland Quilts. Pius designs and draws the images onto the fabric blocks, and then his wife Odette sews it together and does the quilting. Pius' designs are brightly colored and reflect various aspects of life on the Great Northern Peninsula. Odette discusses this quilting collaboration as well as the different quilt patterns and styles they use. She also speaks about traditional activities such as fishing and mummering.
