A fourth year tradition
The token is a whistle and a Memorial University lanyard. And on Nov. 22, Dr. Wheeler did the same with this year's class of 23. "It's just something I've been doing for the students. For most of them it's their last formal class in the gym where they have spent the last four to five years. So I organize a ball tournament and everyone plays and everyone receives a small token of appreciation."
He says it's become a great tradition that the students really appreciate. "They are all very proud to receive their whistles but more importantly the recognition of a job well done."
