Student Spotlight: Chris Penney
Aspects, the publication of the Newfoundland Historical Society, has just published an article based on the work of a recent graduate of Memorial’s MA program. Christopher Penney wrote on a little known legal dispute in early 19th century Newfoundland, an article which sheds new light on the transition from the naval state to civilian administration. “Peter W Carter vs Richard Noble” can be read in the Summer 2015 issue of the Newfoundland Quarterly. The Quarterly has been published for more than a century, and over the years it has published the work of many Newfoundland historians. Mr Penney’s work now joins that illustrious company.
