Event: Going beyond the Ordinary Degree in History: a Student Q&A with the morning's presenters Time: 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Place: History Seminar Room (A4004) Description: Archives are special places, but what does a new generation of history scholars have to say about how their use contributes to an understanding of the past?

This is the opportunity to discuss matters ranging from "how do you afford it?" to "what should I look for in a supervisor" . It is a chance for students to meet the advanced doctoral candidates visiting Memorial from other institutions in a student-only session separate from the morning symposium. All History students are warmly invited.

In case of snow day the event will be brought forward to Thursday, January 18.
