History Professors Edit Aspects

Professors Terry Bishop-Stirling and Jeff Webb are the current editors of Aspects, which has been an insert in the Newfoundland Quarterly magazine since the 1960s. A publication of the Newfoundland Historical Society (NHS), its mandate is to bring new historical scholarship to a broader public than academic journals. Former historian and university President Leslie Harris was editor for many decades, and Aspects is just one of many ways in which the NHS engages the public with historical knowledge. Over the last decades many informative and interesting essays have been published in the quarterly magazine – some of which have been by faculty members and graduate students at Memorial. Any authors who have a 4000 to 6000 word article which informs the public about any aspect of the history of Newfoundland and Labrador is encouraged to contact Bishop-Stirling or Webb.
