Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)
The Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) provides a framework to enable compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and university policies and procedures. Specifically, it apprises members of the university community of their duties and responsibilities to applicable legislation, relevant policies and procedures and reporting requirements.
The university’s HSMS consists of the following:

- Hazard Identification & Risk Management
- Incident Management
- Contractor Management
- Assurance
- Emergency Management
- Disability Management
Standard Operating Procedures - Established procedures to follow when performing a specific task. They may be pan-university or unit specific.
Forms, Checklists and Records - Documents that furnish objective evidence of activities performed or results achieved. They may be pan-university or unit specific.
