Edna Baird-Stephenson Scholarship in Women's Studies -- Undergraduate
This scholarship, normally valued at $400 has been established by the Memorial University of Newfoundland Alumni Association, through its Annual Fund.
It honours distinguished alumna Edna Baird-Stephenson, B.A., B.H.S., one of the first female graduates of Memorial University College and long-time employee of Memorial University of Newfoundland.
The scholarship is open to full or part-time students enrolled in the Department of Gender Studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland who have successfully completed a minimum of twenty-one credit hours in two of the three semesters in the previous scholarship year and achieved a minimum 75% average at the end of those two semesters.
It is awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Financial Aid, acting on a recommendation from the Head, Department of Gender Studies.
