Examine the critical role HR technology plays in helping employees and organizations meet their goals and improve processes.
Explore the critical role of technology in modern human resource management. In this session, participants will gain an understating of the various technological tools that HR professionals can use to streamline their operations, and improve processes and the employee experience.
Participants will build a business case for investing in HR technology by examining the steps involved in developing an HR technology roadmap and what to do to successfully implement new technology. With a focus on the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) - a crucial tool in modern HR management - participants will learn how the HRIS can be used to manage employee data and automate HR processes.
HR technologies help organizations to manage costs, reduce time spent on administrative tasks, and maintain efficient and effective processes.

- Assess the benefits of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and the various integrations available.
- Explore considerations for identifying, implementing, integrating & optimizing HR technology.

Laura Cashin
An alumna of the University of Waterloo, Laura has more than 17 years of progressive leadership experience in the field of human resources. Starting her career with tech giant BlackBerry, Laura experienced their rapid growth while working in their European, Asian, and North American divisions.
A strategic and creative human resources leader. Laura has supported employees in a broad range of industries including high -tech, industrial operations, advertising, aviation, education and aerospace and most recently in the renewable energy sector. As owner and operator of Blueprint Human Resources Laura helped small-to-medium-size businesses build positive company cultures through strong HR practices. Recently Laura joined the industry leading team at World Energy GH2, contributing her skills and passion to project Nujio'qonik which will be Canada's first commercial green hydrogen and ammonia producer.
Laura is also a busy mom of two, a wife, daughter, sister and friend. She is on the Board of Directors of St. John's Homestead Inc., a non-profit organization that aims to address homelessness through the housing and rehousing of vulnerable and at-risk adults across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
