I'd Love to Be a Sailor
Eddy Primroy NFLD 1 Tape 14 Track 12
Pouch Cove Audio:
Comic song Mr. Primroy accompanies himself on guitar

Now I'm thinking of a pretty girl they say all sailors do
I courted her for forty years and maybe forty-two
I courted her for forty years she was a wee wee dear
Every time I sailed away I whispered in her ear

I'd love to be a sailor a sailor a sailor
I love to go upon the ocean blue yea I do
I'd love to be a sailor a sailor a sailor
Sailing on the good ship Kangaroo

They say that every sailor's got a wife in every port
But that's a lie because he has got nothing of the sort
If every sailor's got a wife in every port you take my tip
Every sailor's wife has got a man on every ship

I'd love to be a sailor a sailor a sailor
I love to go upon the ocean blue yea I do
I'd love to be a sailor a sailor a sailor
Sailing on the good ship Kangaroo
