Research Interests

My Ph.D. is from the University of Virginia's Department of Philosophy, where I wrote a dissertation in moral philosophy under the supervision of Cora Diamond. My dissertation, "The Relevance of Method: Moral Theory and its Impact Upon Moral Philosophical Thought," was examined by John Arras, Tal Brewer, Jim Childress, and Dan Devereaux.

I work in moral philosophy and bioethics. My research interests focus upon issues in moral philosophy having to do with philosophical approach and the nature of moral thought; reproductive ethics; and questions about the relation between moral philosophy and applied ethics.

While on sabbatical for 2019-20, I was visiting fellow at Western University's Rotman Institute of Philosophy.
