Facilities Management is coordinating a planned, power outage on Aug. 13-14 from 6 a.m. on Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday (48 hours). This outage will affect normal and/or emergency power to a number of St. John’s campus buildings. Please see details below. This power outage is required to complete work associated with the replacement of high voltage electrical equipment. These buildings will close during the outage and tunnels from the main locker tunnel to these buildings will close. FM appreciates your co-operation during this important upgrade to campus infrastructure.

Normal and emergency power affected, buildings will be closed.

• Science - blocks C & D
• South Campus Boiler Room
• Residence tunnel’s (including the Prince Philip Drive underpass)

Emergency backup power affected, buildings will be closed.

• Science - blocks A & B
• Physical Education
• Facilities Management
• Henrietta Harvey
• Arts and Administration
• Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation

Building occupants are advised to shut down all computer equipment in these buildings prior to this outage and remove items from fridges that may spoil during this time. There will be no access to these buildings during this outage and remote desktop access (RDP) will not be available for systems in Science – blocks C and D and the South Campus Boiler Room. The ITS Data Centre and related services will not be impacted during this outage.
