Safety@Sea Laboratory
About
The Safety@Sea laboratory is run by Dr. Brian Veitch, who is the NSERC/Husky Energy Industrial Research Chair in Safety at Sea. The lab works in collaboration with government and industry partners to develop new marine simulation technologies in the area of safety at sea, and to study human factors in offshore emergencies and other safety critical operations. Various simulation tools can be used in the lab to examine how factors such as experience, training, and technological resources can affect operational performance.
The main research activity at the Safety@Sea lab is human factors research for navigational safety
