Public invited to Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science open house
Memorial University’s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science will host its annual public open house on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the S. J. Carew (Engineering) Building on Memorial’s St. John’s campus.
The family-friendly event will begin in the main foyer of the engineering building with information booths and guided tours of working laboratories. The whole family will enjoy learning about the real-world applications of engineering.
Some highlights this year may include a tour of the award-winning Paradigm Hyperloop pod, 3D printers, chats with robots, a youth interaction station and so much more! You may even get to see testing of a popsicle-stick bridge by a local Junior High student that recently exceeded testing capacities at an annual bridge-breaking competition.
Admission is free. Free parking is available in lot 60, parking garage under the Alexander Murray (Earth Sciences) building.
Representatives from the media are invited to attend.
