Dr. Leah Lewis is a registered creative arts therapist and registered psychotherapist with a background in drama for human development and counselling psychology. Her research interests are arts-based and community-situated. Leah’s current projects include The Open Studio Project, a community-located art hive at Holy Heart of Mary High School, with newcomer youth (SSHRC), Digital Stories with Newcomer Youth, and the application of performance auto-ethnography as a tool for knowledge translation and mobilization via The Dialysis Project (ArtsNL, CCA Cultivate Fund, NAC Collaborations Fund).

Interest areas include cultural diversity education, LGBTQ affirmative scholarship, qualitative health education using arts-based inquiry.
