Strategic Priorities
The operational and strategic priorities of our office have changed and expanded since its inception, and will continue to do so as its work continues. At this time, our priorities are largely focused on creating the policy and strategy framework that will set up Memorial to reach its goal of becoming an equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism (EDI-AR) giant in Canada.
Our current operational and strategic priorities are:
- The development and implementation of an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Strategic Plan for Memorial University.
- The development and implementation of a Human Rights Policy for Memorial University.
- The upholding of Memorial's committments as a signatory to the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion.
- The completion of data acquisition projects, including a student census across Memorial campuses.
