The geology of Newfoundland offers an unparalleled natural laboratory for Earth Sciences students. Fieldwork is the foundation of our discipline, and it is in the field where students gain the confidence, technical skills, and curiosity that shape them as emerging geoscientists. To fully benefit from these experiences, it is essential that students can participate without the worry of financial stress.

Thanks to a transformative investment from Cenovus Energy, our students will now have greater access to immersive, hands-on learning. This suport represents a significant step forward for our department, allowing us to to continue to deliver high-quality field training while providing students with the core competencies that they will carry throughout their careers.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Cenovus Energy for their commitment to student success! We look forward to seeing our students take full advantage of this opportunity to learn, discover, and grow as the next generation of Earth
Scientists.
