The visiting keynote speaker for this year's Teaching & Learning Conference is Dr. Sarah Eaton, an internationally recognized expert in academic ethics.

Dr. Eaton is a professor and research chair at the Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary and an honorary associate professor at Australia's Deakin University. She is an award-winning scholar who has written and presented extensively on academic integrity and ethics all over the world and is regularly invited as a media guest to talk about academic misconduct.

Her keynote addressInspiring Human Integrity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, examines the profound implications of Gen AI for teaching and learning in higher education. During her address on the morning of April 30, Dr. Eaton will examine both the ethical considerations and practical applications of AI in educational contexts. Participants will gain insights into how these technological advances prompt us to reconceptualize traditional approaches to teaching, learning and assessment, with the ultimate goal of leveraging these emerging tools to support student success while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity.

In addition to her keynote, Dr. Eaton is part of the conference's Teaching Dialogues plenary on the afternoon of May 1.
