videoWhat is it?
Duet is a screen sharing application which turns an iPad or iPhone into an extra display for a Macbook and PC. It also allows for remote access of a computer, mirroring between devices, and sharing of keyboard or mouse between devices.
What is its purpose?
The primary purpose is to mirror a desktop/laptop screen.
How do I use it?
This requires the installation of Duet apps on a computer and iPad or mobile devices. The software builds up communication between a laptop/computer and iPad/mobile devices.
Why would I use it?
Duet allows the user to have a portable secondary display for his or her laptop or computer. Also, Duet adds the touch-screen capability to a laptop/desktop through mirroring an iPad/iPhone screen.
Usage considerations
1. Duet is not free. 2. Allows for instructors to use windows and iPad together. 3. A further option is the sign in to a Webex meeting separately through a pc and an iPad so the instructor can be on the camera (overview the chat) and can use the iPad to write on the slide/whiteboard.
