Call for Reviewers

The concurrent sessions for the Teaching and Learning Conference 2025 are chosen through a double-blind peer-review process. We invite instructional staff at Memorial to come forward to be part of the review process for this year’s conference on April 30 and May 1. The application period for reviewers is open from February 12-28 and the conference review period is March 17-28.

If you have any questions, please see the information below or contact conference program lead Ruth Hickey.

Review Process

  • All reviewers will have an affiliation with Memorial University and teaching experience in the post-secondary context.
  • The conference program lead will distribute review packages and supporting documentation to reviewers electronically.
  • Reviewers will be asked to identify any known or potential conflicts of interest before the distribution date.
  • Each proposal is reviewed by two peer reviewers in a double-blind process using a rubric that includes the opportunity to provide additional feedback to the proposal writer.
  • Each reviewer can expect to review between 3-5 proposals, subject to the number of proposals received.
  • The average review should take approximately 30 minutes to complete, subject to submission complexity.
  • The faculty chair and conference program lead will review all proposals and reviews to address discrepancies and make final program decisions.
  • All reviewers will receive a letter of recognition.
