About the Conference

The Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) has led the delivery of Memorial University’s Teaching and Learning Conference for its academic and administrative community since 2018. This annual conference is an opportunity for educators, researchers, staff, students and alumni to foster Memorial’s pan-university interest and participation in the practice and scholarship of teaching and learning.

Each year, the Teaching and Learning Conference brings Memorial's communities together to:

  • Foster a culture of teaching innovation.
  • Inspire and enable institution-wide collaboration.
  • Provide a platform for community knowledge exchange.

Working with partners across Memorial University campuses, CITL hosts, plans, organizes and delivers the conference for our in-person participants and ensures remote participants can attend most of the conference sessions online. Today, the Teaching and Learning Conference is one of Memorial’s signature events with more than 200 annual participants attending our two-day program of keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, poster session and networking opportunities.
