On Friday, November 1st 2019, new CRTC regulation will come into effect that require the caller ID for all calls to display a legitimate number. To be compliant with this regulation, all calls originating from MUN phones must now display a legitimate ‘864’ number. This will result in calls that were previously displaying non-MUN numbers, such as ‘0000000’, to now be displayed as ‘864-8000’, MUN’s main switchboard number.
