Maintenance on the Authentication System Supporting Wi-Fi and VPN
On Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 12:01-2 a.m., the Office of the Chief Information Officer will be carrying out maintenance on the authentication system supporting Wi-Fi and VPN. During this time, access to the @Memorial, @Memorial-Guest, eduroam and @Memorial-Teleworker Wi-Fi networks, as well as VPN, may be unavailable. Once maintenance has been completed you may be prompted to accept a new server certificate the next time your device connects to Wi-Fi. You can be assured that a prompt to accept a certificate from ise-n.mun.ca or ise-s.mun.ca is safe. Due to the nature of this upgrade, some devices may fail to reconnect without manual intervention, so it is advised to check that your device has reconnected once maintenance is complete. If you experience problems connecting, it is recommended to forget the Wi-Fi network on your device and attempt to rejoin. This maintenance will impact Wi-Fi connectivity to the previously mentioned networks at all campuses and sites in the greater St. John’s area, Grenfell Campus, Harlow Campus and the Labrador Campus. Additionally, eduroam access for users from these campuses and sites will be impacted globally. The MemorialRES and @MemorialRES-Guest networks will not be affected. Please direct any questions or concerns to the ITS Service Desk at 709-864-4595, help@mun.ca or via online chat.
