Retention and Disposal Schedules
MUNCLASS Retention and Disposal Schedules (RDS) allow for the legal destruction of Official University Records. MUNCLASS Draft RDS are currently undergoing review and approval. As RDS are approved, they will become available for use on this webpage.
APPROVED SCHEDULES
CS - Campus Services
Records relating to management of various services and resources offered to members of Memorial University and the wider community. Some record classes in this function include campus security, video surveillance, bookstore services, housing services and parking services.
FN - Finance
Records relating to the management of university and departmental financial resources. Some record classes in this function include accounts payable, mortgages, unit budgets, travel claims and authorization and provincial government transfers.
FP - Facilities and Property
Records relating to the management of university and departmental facilities and property. Some record classes in this function include building plans, utilities management, computing equipment, campus planning and university vehicles.
GV - Governance
Records relating to the self-governance of the university and units as organizations. Some record classes in this function include senate and committees, accident reports, contracts and agreements, intellectual property and government liasion.
HR - Human Resources
Records relating to the management of university faculty, staff and contractors. Some record classes in this function include collective bargaining, pensioner files, personnel files, employee recognition and employment equity.
IN - Information Management and Technology
Records relating to the management of university information technology and information assets. Some record classes in this function include ATIPP requests, retention and disposal schedules, service desk - incident management, technology innovation and IT security.
ST - Students
Records relating to the documentation of students' academic history and provision of support services to students. Some record classes in this function include academic advising, student financial aid, applications for admission/readmission, student records and clinical counselling - case files.
TL - Teaching and Learning
Records relating to the provision of instruction and operation of academic programs. Some record classes in this function include course scheduling, academic calendars, academic resource planning, program evaluation and planning and accreditation.
