A password is required on university mobile devices to protect any personal information that may be contained on mobile devices. In the event of such a device being lost or stolen, the presence of a secure mobile device password policy will protect any data contained on the device. 

Password must be a minimum length of 6 characters, and contain a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.

University-owned mobile devices are centrally-managed and may be reset to factory settings upon 10 failed password attempts in a row.
