The Office of the Chief Information Officer will carry out required maintenance on the administrative file share environment, which houses mun-fs and voyager file shares on Tuesday, June 24, from 10:30 p.m. until Wednesday, June 25, at 3 a.m. During this time, there will be a 2-4 hour outage of all file shares on mun-fs and voyager. All file shares will be unavailable during this time. For further information, please contact the OCIO Service Desk.
As part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s (OCIO) ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline IT services, Memorial is transitioning from SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) to Microsoft Intune for patching Memorial-managed Windows workstations. Starting June 19, 2025, all Windows workstation patching will be managed through Microsoft Intune. This change will enhance the OCIO’s ability to manage updates more efficiently and securely, especially for remote and hybrid work environments.
To ensure a smooth transition, all Memorial-managed Windows workstations must connect to the university’s internal network at least once after June 12, 2025, and remain connected for a minimum of four hours. You can connect: on-campus via the Memorial internal network or off-campus: using the Memorial VPN solution. For further information, please contact the OCIO Service Desk. Thank you for your cooperation as we improve our IT infrastructure.
