Minor in Biology
A minor in Biology will consist of 24 credit hours in Biology courses:
- Biology 1001 and 1002 (or equivalents)
- Eighteen (18) credit hours chosen from the list of available Biology courses, excluding Biology 2040, 2041, 2120, 3053, and 3820. It is recommended (but not required) that students take at least two Biology courses at the 3000 level or above.
Students are encouraged to discuss course selection with our Academic Program Officer.
Admission
Students who wish to minor in Biology must complete a "Declaration/Change of Academic Program" and submit the completed form to our Academic Program Officer for approval.
Available Minors for Biology Majors
There are a number of Minors within the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences that are available to our Majors. Students interested in declaring a Minor, in addition to their Biology Major, should schedule a meeting with our Academic Program Officer to discuss their options.
