I^s  repressors

• I^s mutations are dominant to I⁺  (strain 3)

• In I^s mutations the allosteric site is mutated and can no longer bind to the inducer

• Mutant I^s repressors will bind to all operators, regardless of the presence or absence of inducible I⁺ repressors.
