Alleles at two loci
(locus A = alleles A1 & A2; locus B = alleles B1 & B2) are segregating in this
family. Colored boxes mark combinations of alleles that can be
traced through the pedigree. In generation III we can
distinguish people who received nonrecombinant (A1B2 or A2B1) or recombinant
(A1B1 or A2B2) sperm from their father. Because individual
II2 is
homozygous at these two loci we cannot identify which individuals in
generation III developed from nonrecombinant or recombinant
oocytes.
