Colour phase polymorphism in Snow Geese (Chen caerulescens)

Several geographic races of Snow Geese exist. The Greater Snow Goose is found in Atlantic Canada, and the Lesser Snow Goose is found inland. The blue phase is a variant of the Lesser Snow Goose, and is found in mixed flocks. The difference appears to be a simple Mendelian variant.
