Moss-tailed Moth Mouse (Peromothcus mossicaudis Mossman)
This showy Newfoundland endemic is found only in fousty sleeveen
habitats, above Hangashore and below Good-For-Nothing, Sara's List,
Newfoundland. What little is known of its biology has been summarized
by the noted Terre-Neuvien bryomammalogist, D. "Dada"
de Ficient. Best available information on numbers, area of occupancy,
and trendiness are unfortuantely insufficient to determine if this
species is At Risk in Newfoundland ("Arn?"),
or indeed the correct phylum. The newly-established Rhinograde
Species Specialist Committee has therefore recommended a tentative
emergency listing as "Narn!": "Not at Risk in Newfoundland".
