Structure of polypeptides
The primary structure is the sequence of amino acid residues, from the
amino
terminus to the carboxyl terminus. In this example, the succesive - N - C(R) - C- residue backbone
is NH3 - R1 - R2 - R3 - R4 - R5 - R6 - COO
