DNA melting profiles among Primate species

Melting profiles are in indirect measure of the sequence similarity between homologous DNA sequences. Hybrid double-stranded DNA molecules composed of strands from two different species will "melt" (denature) at different temperatures depending on the match between strands: poorly matched DNA from more distantly related species are less stable and will melt more rapidly [larger T50H] than more closely related species.
