Nader Fareid Abusara (Ph.D. Student: 2014 to Present). Nader is working on characterizing certain genes predicted to be involved in clavulanic acid production in S. clavuligerus. 

Yuting (Phoebe) Li (Ph.D. Student: 2014 to Present). Phoebe is working on the characterization of accessory proteins involved in the production of certain bioactive natural products. She is co-supervised along with Dr. Dawn Bignell (MUN, Biology).

Brandon Piercey (M.Sc. Student: 2017 to Present). Brandon is working on elucidating differnt pathways involved in regualting antibiotic production in S. clavuligerus.

Arshad Shaikh (M.Sc. Student: 2018 to Present). Arshad is working on metabolic engineering to produce medically relevant metabolites in industrially important Streptomyces species.

Jody-Ann Clarke (M.Sc. Student: 2019 to Present).

Alex Byrne (M.Sc. Student: 2019 to Present). Alex is examining the molecular epidemiology of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (Map), the causative agent of Johne's disease in cattle. He is also working on antibiotic resistance in companion animals in collaboration with certain veterinary clinics in the province.
