5. St. Alexis des Monts, PQ.  Hwy 349 to St. Alexis des Monts.  Pond Life: Pond in a typical maple/beech forest, with a sandy substrate and many mosquito larvae. Map 1, Map3

6. St. Mathieu, PQ.  Before St. Mathieu.  Pond Life: Birch, poplar, spruce, maple. Tadpoles. Map3

7. La Tuque, R409, PQ.  Road R409? off ISSN.  On gravel road behind Hotel Le Gite and Canadian Tire.  On right side of road across from blue house.  Pond Life: area fairly open, but shrubby.  Leaf litter. Birch, conifers. Tadpoles. Small ditch leading in/out. Map3, Map4

14. NE of Baie St. Paul.  Pond Life: Permanent pond. Tadpoles, no mosquito larvae, lots of chaoborus. Map5

15. Near Sainte Marie, PQ. Farm Pond.  Hwy 216 west.  Pond Life: Open – surrounded by grass.  Chaoborus, daphnia.Map3

16. Near Drummondville, PQ. “Dead Frog Pond.”  “Natural” pond in farm region.  Pond Life: Trees around.  Lots of ostracods, no frogs, ferns, grass. Map3
