Individuals with scholarships or other sources of external funding are especially encouraged to contact us regarding potential positions. Due to the sheer number of emails that Dr. Bignell receives on a regular basis, she is only able to respond to certain applicants that meet the criteria below and who are being considered as potential candidates.

Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a strong academic background in Microbiology, Biochemistry and/or Plant Pathology. Potential candidates should have strong laboratory research skills in microbiological, molecular and biochemical techniques as well as strong oral and written communication skills in English. Also, prospective candidates should enjoy working as part of a team.
