Follow up and actions on recommendations
Memorial’s Board of Regents, which is responsible for the management, administration and control of the property, revenue, business and affairs of the university, is responsible for ensuring the recommendations within the 2023 Auditor General’s report are addressed.
When the report was released, an Ad Hoc Action Committee of the Board was formed in order to expedite the university’s response to the recommendations.
At its Dec. 4 meeting, the Board of Regents passed a motion to dissolve that committee and that follow up and action on remaining items occur through each of the respective standing committees of the Board.
Updates on outstanding items in relation to the Auditor General recommendation have been added as a recurring item to the agendas for the committees assigned.
