Strategic Research Intensity Plan 2014-2020
The Strategic Research Intensity Plan 2014-2020 built on the University's Research Strategy Framework to support the university's vision to "...be one of the most distinguished public universities in Canada and beyond..."
The plan reflected a synergistic and integrated approach for strengthening all aspects of research at Memorial University, including scholarship and creative activities, as well as the translation of knowledge into products, practices and policies, and other forms of community engagement.
The Strategic Research Intensity Plan was initiated by Dr. Richard Marceau, vice-president (research) on Dec. 5, 2013, at the request of the Board of Regents and the President of Memorial University.
The plan underwent several phases of consultation before finalization and approval by Memorial University's Board of Regents on May 8, 2014.
