Memorial University’s payroll team has been hearing from a number of employees and retirees that their T4/T4A/NR4 slip information is not showing up in their CRA My Account and their information is not available to auto-fill their tax returns. The university’s payroll team uploaded this information to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on Feb. 24, 2025; however, once uploaded, CRA needs to process this information. Unfortunately, CRA is having technical issues and employers across the country are experiencing delays with their employees’ information being processed.

The Department of Human Resources has partnered with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to develop a technology solution to improve client service and create efficiencies. As of April 14, 2025, the Department of Human Resources is switching to a customized OnBase solution for the submission of requests for Human Resources assistance.

The Flexible Work Arrangements policy was approved by Memorial University’s Board of Regents on March 6, 2025, and is effective April 1, 2025. This policy replaces the Guidelines for Remote Work Arrangements for Non-Academic Employees, piloted from Aug. 29, 2022 to March 31, 2025.

The new policy encompasses all flexible work arrangements (FWA), including remote work, reduced work weeks, job sharing, short-term lateral position exchanges, revised work schedules and compressed work schedules. For more information, please click here or consult the policy.
