mtDNA Phylogeography of 34 Non-African humans
Restriction of the analysis of human variation in Ingman et al. to only the 32 non-African humans, plus two additional genomes, removes parallel mutations and permits a more detailed analysis of the phylogeography of humans subsequent to migration "Out of Africa." The diagram at right converts the rooted tree to an unrooted phylogram, in which branch lengths are drawn proportional to the number of inferred mutations on each as indicated by the numbers shown.
